NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Franklin County Noxious Weed Control Board will hold a public hearing to consider its 2019 budget on October 15, 2018 at 1 pm. The hearing will be held at the Franklin County Noxious Weed Control Board office located at 502 Boeing St. Pasco, WA.
What are noxious weeds?
Noxious weeds are non-native plants introduced to Washington State through human actions. Because of their aggressive growth and lack of natural enemies in the state, these species can be highly destructive, competitive or difficult to control. These exotic species can reduce crop yields, destroy native plant and animal habitat, reduce recreational opportunities, clog waterways, lower land values and poison humans and livestock.
